"Super Size Me"

"Super Size Me" is a very interesting movie. I learned a lot about how the American diet is changing for the worst. The movie shows the effects that McDonald's can have on your body. In comparison to the book the move shows that the media displays toys and characters  to capture the children. McDonalds spends 1.4 billion a year to persuade people to eat their food.  The book farther explains the concept of child asking grandparents or parents for items. The ways a children get their parents to buy stuff is by nagging. The are many different types of nagging. Pleading nags, persistent nags, forceful nags, demonstrative nags, sugar coating nags, threatening nags, pity nags are the types that kids use. As told, in the book "kids tend to stick to one or two of each that prove most effective for their own parents". Kids play a major role in the fast food industry.
"Super Size Me" introduces to the audience that 60% of the population is suffering from obesity. 1/3 children will be born to develop diabetes in their life time.  Developing diabetes before the age of 15 can. Lead to a person losing 17-27 years in life. This is a serious matter due the fact that the average person eats from a fast food restaurant at least once a week. Some nutritionist say that fast food should be eaten once a month or not eaten at all.

The movie even explains how they people know the food is unhealthy for you but, its all about the money and business. The owners of these companies could care less about your health, they care about what the profit they receive. McDonalds themselves have stated that processed foods are more harmful then unprocessed foods

That is scary to know. as a result of watching "Super Size Me" I will follow a better diet. I will eat fast food a lot less then how I have been eating it now. Saying your going to accomplish something is one thing but, actually doing it means so much more. The effect this food has on your body is ridiculous and most of it ends drastically.
